Getting the COVID Vaccine in Lambeth

Everyone aged 12 or over can get the COVID-19 vaccine.

 

Even if you have said no before, you can change your mind! Everyone is welcome to get the vaccine, no matter what.

Who's eligible?

 

 

People aged 16 or over can get a 1st and 2nd dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

You can book appointments at a larger vaccination centre or pharmacy now, or wait to be invited to go to a local NHS service.

Some people who got their 2nd dose at least 6 months ago are eligible for a booster.

Children aged 12 to 15

All children aged 12 to 15 will be offered a 1st dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (including children who turn 12 on the date of vaccination).

Not all walk-in vaccination sites can vaccinate children aged 12 to 15. More sites will become available over time.

Children at High Risk from COVID-19

Some children aged 12 to 15 are being offered 2 doses of the vaccine if either:

  • they live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)

  • they have a condition that means they're at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19

Conditions that mean they may be at high risk and eligible for 2 doses are:

  • a severe problem with the brain or nerves, such as cerebral palsy

  • Down's syndrome

  • severe or multiple learning disabilities (or they're on the learning disability register)

  • a condition that means they're more likely to get infections (such as some genetic conditions or types of cancer)

Those who are eligible for 2 doses of the vaccine will be contacted by a local NHS service such as a GP surgery to arrange their appointments.

Booster Vaccine

Booster vaccine doses will be available on the NHS for people most at risk from COVID-19 who have had a 2nd dose of a vaccine at least 6 months ago.

This includes:

  • people aged 40 and over

  • people who live and work in care homes

  • frontline health and social care workers

  • people aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts them at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19

  • people aged 16 and over who are a main carer for someone at high risk from COVID-19

  • people aged 16 and over who live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)

People who are pregnant and in 1 of the eligible groups can also get a booster dose.

- Pfizer (+16s): Monday to Saturday – 8am to 7pm

- Moderna (+18s):

Monday, 8am-12pm

- AstraZeneca (+40s) – 2nd dose only:

Monday, 4-5.30pm

  • St Thomas’ Hospital

Location: Vaccination site 2 at St Thomas’ Hospital, Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7EH

Day and time: Monday to Saturday, 8am - 7pm

Further information: This clinic is for anyone age 16 and over – Pfizer only, both doses. Second doses will only be offered if it is at least eight weeks since the first dose. 

  • Streatham Place Surgery, Lambeth

Date and time:

Wednesdays, 9am to 12pm (Pfizer, +16s)

Fridays, 9am to 12pm and 1 to 5pm (Pfizer, +16s and boosters)

Booking information: Walk-in, no appointment needed. A booked clinic is also running at this time.
