Building vaccine confidence with African and Caribbean communities

Sutton Council will be hosting a free online event on the 16 June at 6:30pm - open to all residents, particularly those from Black African and Black Caribbean Communities across London.

The event will be an opportunity for those members of our community, who are hesitant to take up the Covid-19 vaccine. They will be able to raise questions with a panel of senior clinicians and public health professionals. The event will be chaired by Cllr Ruth Dombey and the panel will include; Professor Kevin Fenton, Public Health, Regional Director for London, Dr Nnenna Osuji, Medical Director and Chief Executive at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, and Dr Donald Palmer, Associate Professor of Immunology.

The panel will discuss the misconceptions and common myths about Covid-19, as well as provide accurate information, to ensure the community is better informed about the Covid-19 vaccine.

Spaces are limited, register for a ticket here You can also submit questions in advance here. Pre-submitted questions will be completely anonymous.

Please feel free to join the conversation and share this invite with your family and friends.
